NaBloPoMo - Dream house

The question for today is
Would you buy your dream house if the price was right, but you also were told it was inhabited by ghosts?
This question makes no sense for me, because "not haunted" is one of my top ten criteria for dream house. Right along with (in no particular order):
  • Not near a cemetery
  • No. Freaking. Way.
  • Not built on an ancient Indian burial ground
  • Not infested with snakes
  • Not lacking central air
  • Not having well water
  • Not without an available cable connection
  • Not split level
  • Not too far away to shops and businesses
  • Not on too much land to shovel/rake
So, no, regardless of price, I would not buy a house that was haunted - because it's not my dream house.
It's more like a nightmare.

  1. Well, if you’re that meticulous when it comes to finding your dream house, then it would be good if you find out all the details about the house before you settle for it. That way, you’ll know exactly what you’ll be getting for the price you’re paying. Some people end up spending money on repairs that they didn’t see right away when they first saw the house. Anyway, I hope you get to find a house that suits your criteria.

  2. “Would you buy your dream house if the price was right, but you also were told it was inhabited by ghosts?” -- Well, if you can deal with them, why not? Haha! If you can manage to befriend them or believe that they don’t exist, I think you can live happily in your dream house. As for me, I wouldn’t be able to do that because I’m really afraid of ghosts. :p

  3. “Would you buy your dream house if the price was right, but you also were told it was inhabited by ghosts?”—This question caught me, Sue. It's a common issue for every house buyer to know if the house they're visiting was inhabited by some creatures. But I think that's only on the mind. You might think that the house is haunted, but in reality, it is not. Looking for a house is like looking for a dress. What you are looking for is something that would fit your style.
